This trail is 5.5 miles round trip with an elevation gain of 1700 feet. This hike will involve climbing numerous dry falls in route to the peak. Due to the difficulty of following this trail we will be using GPS. Currently we will have at least two on hand.
We will meet at Eaglecloud at 0830 with the goal of setting off from the trailhead no later than 0915.
Trailhead:
Drive into Boulder City and make a left at the second stop light onto south 93 heading towards Hoover Dam. Drive about 3.2 miles and turn left onto an easily missed paved road. If you pass the Visitor Center, you have gone too far. Drive a tenth of a mile and turn left onto a gravel road just before the pumping station. In .2 miles the road comes to a three-way divide, take road #74 to the right. Drive three-tenths of a mile and park near the huge water tank.
This hike offers great views of Lake Mead. | | Click here for our pictures and comments. Warning: Page may be slow to load due to images. |
