This can be a fairly strenuous 4 mile hike as the trail is no longer maintained by the Forest Service. The trail winds its way up a boulder-strewn canyon ending at a seasonal waterfall.
We will meet up at the trailhead parking lot around 0955 and set off at 1000.
Staging/Trailhead:
From town, drive out to Kyle Canyon turning right onto Echo Road (the first paved road to the right past the Old Town Fire Station). If you miss the turn, you'll go around a big hairpin bend to the left. Take Echo Road down to Mary Jane Falls Road, a dirt road to the left. Turn left onto Mary Jane Falls Road at the end of the road is a parking lot which leads to both Mary Jane and Big Falls.
Current forecast is partly cloudy with temperatures in the high fifties.
