Gain: | 1000 ft | | The Plan: | fiogf49gjkf0d For the last couple of months life has been quite chaotic for many of the Lost Hikers, however, finally the dust seems to have settled for enough of us to look towards hitting those trails again. Sadly during a power outage The Lost Hiker website died and while I have recovered email I have yet to get the website back online. Hopefully it will be back online before too long, so that once more everyone can share the pictures of our outdoor adventures.
General Info:
This trail is 3 miles round trip with an elevation gain of 1000 feet.
You can join us either at Eaglecloud or the trailhead. We will meet at Eaglecloud at 0845 with the goal of setting off from the trailhead no later than 1000.
Trailhead:
This hike is located in Kyle Canyon up in the Spring Mountains, about an hour northwest of Las Vegas.
From town, drive out to Mt Charleston turning on Kyle Canyon Road. You'll continue down Kyle eventually going through a big hairpin bend to the left. You will wind up a hill, and shortly arrive at a wide parking lot on the uphill side of the road just before the entrance to Cathedral Rock Picnic Area. This is a free parking lot but if it is full there is a pay lot just past. We will meet at the trailhead up in the pay lot.
